rant screenpeep Peak season Saw Roland teaching Amy to fish. She’s skeptical about spending hours with a rod without catching a single fish, but Loren quips that she shouldn’t be “result-oriented.” Everything was going well until Amy accidentally dropped her phone in the water, but luckily neither of them were charmed.
in the statement rant screenDirected by Henry Lofner and Steven Kanter Peak seasonLocation: The Teton Mountains, a relatively small but very beautiful mountain range in Wyoming. The movie is a love letter to Jackson Hole, and every scene reflects that. Here’s what the filmmakers had to say:
Tetons was a dream place for our group. Fish on the Snake River, photograph wild horses on horseback, track wild elk and chase thunder storms in the Gros Ventre wilderness. Some of these scenes are so breathtaking, they appear to be CG.
But the story ends up being a fun, intimate romance. That’s what we wanted to achieve: create a comedy about relationships, but set in epic locations worthy of a Tolkien novel. We’re very proud of the film and can’t wait to see its season premiere at SXSW.
Peak season Premieres March 12 during SXW’s Narrative Spotlight segment, with public screenings through March 14.
